How might we create a shared understanding of the required outcomes? It helps to work with the line leaders usually process holders to determine what the improvement through training, process improvement, etc… might be and how together we can measure the business case and the impact on performance.
Does this measurement matter? Does it matter in the sense that it has anything to do with the customer (internal employees and external customers) and shows an impact on the work.
People on Teams MUST have clear lines of accountability and authority. Knowing who does what-by-when within the prescribed standards and limits. People on teams NEED to know what they are individually responsible for and what others expect from them. People on teams NEED to see the connection of the teams, their own, and the organizations goals for the work to be valued.
We all operate with different mental models and necessities of learning + training. When facilitating team building & leadership processes with individuals and teams a challenge is trying to determine what each person needs in order to feel our time together is used effectively.
