Above are the Major Tenets of Solution-Focused as described Steve de Shazer in ‘More Than Miracles’.
While these tenets seen obvious…many organizations, teams and leaders do not practice them.
Which of the above do you find to be relevant to your work?
Developing steps to identify what you want to happen, as opposed to what you don’t want to happen can seem to simple.
If we begin to identify what we want to have happen, using language that describes the solution – a different use of the language is created within teams. A language of possibilities, successes and existing resources that each member of the team possesses.
