This program provided me with a new perspective on leadership and communication. The facilitators really challenged us to think creatively, to work together to solve complicated problems using new methods, and most importantly, to reflect on how to positively change our tactics individually in order to become more effective leaders and communicators.

Here is a team building orientation program created for ~100 incoming MBA students.
Think about it…what if Teaching Leadership did not exist.
It would require More Than Words. More than words to show you feel that your [leadership] is real ( who doesn’t love a Mr. Big Reference? )

Organizations cannot grow leaders. It is nature or God that grows leaders. All that organizations do is to provide some of the necessary conditions for growth, and chief among them is the opportunity to lead.
Making team building stick is what people on the team want to see happen and you can make it happen with some discussion, planning and follow-up.
Team-Building has to be integrated into the existing team structure, culture and goals + objectives of your company. People must see the connection between the team building activity and their work.
Companies look for a quick fix creating management positions, they really believe will help. When it backfires and creates more problems. They don’t look at what caused the problem, improper organizational design, they throw training at it hoping for more quick fixes.
Working to find the solution that is best. Use resistance and questions as a chance to listen to determine what they want.
One challenge of project and and team work is deciding when we are done.
