The theme of “what does it feel like to work for me” continually proves to show that many, many leaders have no idea.
When asked, “When I speak with the staff what would they say it is like working for you?” it is too easy to fall into positive illusion.
Bosses slip into this because, they are the boss! and not matter how hard they try that STINK of BOSS cannot be removed.
Experiential learning, team building, active learning simulations whatever you call them are only effective when people can talk and build skills to increase organizational and personal efficacy and skills.
By giving the teams and participants an opportunity to think and speak about concerns and give accolades to each other a powerful bond is created.
We spent a little over 4 hours together, here are some of the things that were accomplished;

Can also be used to highlight different idioms and references that are used internally, this can be confusing to other departments and cultures (for global organizations and teams).
