As a management team distinguishing between being strong, firm managers and a marginal authoritarian tyrant is a necessary requirement. Often we misattribute yelling and being a go-getter as desirable behaviors for management. This leads to bullying behavior and negative impact on the organizations productivity and peoples’ desire to do great work and stay with the company.
Once Workable Goals are established by the person who desires the change can trust teamwork and progress happen.
Because of this new knowledge of customers, systems, and steps for improvement, the company and people made improvements on problems that existed for decades. This progress and shared purpose led to excitement, more progress, and pride in their work … causing the morale problem to dissipate.
