Any manager has the ability to make work a joy or miserable. If your manager is great perhaps you are on a project team and that project manager has the ability to make you feel great and want to do more or make you want to stop everything and do as little as possible.

Minimum Authority of Managerial-Leaders

Below are 4 Minimum authorities that every manager must have in order to be an effective and trustworthy managerial leader. Each has a short video and written explanation of why the authority is necessary and how can make your team and leadership better.

Authority to reject a subordinate to fill a position

All managers should be provided the unequivocal authority to turn down any candidate who may be offered from above, not on personal grounds, BUT only if their judgment is that the candidate cannot do the necessary work.
